Overview

Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City, seeks to build a community of ambition, character and high standards, in which outstanding talent is recognised and nurtured. We are offering a range of scholarships to recognise and support students who demonstrate exceptional potential, and who will both contribute meaningfully to the life of the school and help shape its founding culture, acting as leaders and role models within our community.

Scholarships celebrate excellence and potential across five areas: academic achievement, sport, creative arts, leadership and service, and Emirati Excellence. Alongside excelling in their chosen field, scholars are expected to embody the confidence, ability and responsibility that lie at the heart of an Elizabethan education.

Academic scholarships

Academic Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate outstanding intellectual ability, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.

Successful applicants will typically show strong performance across a broad range of subjects, alongside the ability to think critically, engage with complex ideas, and explore questions beyond the curriculum. Academic scholars will be leaders in the intellectual life of the school, entering national and international academic competitions, engaging in research projects, debates, and showing a thirst for intellectual growth in all its forms.

Through initiatives such as QE Futures, and a programme tailored to their needs, academic scholars will be challenged to develop free-thinking scholarship at an advanced level. Academic scholars are expected to demonstrate leadership within the classroom and to contribute positively to the culture of intellectual curiosity within the school.

Sports Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate exceptional athletic ability, dedication, and a commitment to teamwork. Successful applicants will show strong performance in one or more sports and a willingness to develop their abilities through disciplined training and competition. Sports scholars will benefit from high-quality coaching, excellent facilities, and opportunities to compete at local and international levels.

Through the school’s sporting programme and partnerships with leading organisations, including ISD and Real Madrid, sports scholars will have access to pathways that support both participation and performance. They will also have a mentor to support them in managing the demands of performance-level sport and the academic and cultural life of the school.

Our sports programme is a crucial driver of character at QE and sports scholars are expected to model resilience, sportsmanship and leadership, contributing to the wider sporting culture of the school.

Creative Arts Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate exceptional talent and creativity in disciplines such as music, drama, visual arts or digital media.

Successful applicants will typically show a strong portfolio of work or performance experience, alongside imagination, dedication, and a willingness to develop their craft.

Creative arts scholars will have opportunities to participate in performances, exhibitions, productions and collaborative projects as part of the QE Flourish programme, and to work with professional practitioners in their disciplines through carefully chosen partnerships, helping them to develop both technical skill and artistic confidence.

Scholars are encouraged to play an active role in shaping the creative direction of the school, inspiring others and contributing to a vibrant cultural environment.

Leadership and Service Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate initiative, integrity, and a commitment to making a positive contribution to their communities.

Successful applicants may have experience leading projects, supporting peers, organising activities, or contributing to charitable or community initiatives.

Through opportunities such as student leadership roles, service projects, and collaborative initiatives, Leadership and Service Scholars will develop the skills needed to lead responsibly and thoughtfully.

Leadership scholars are expected to embody the values of the Elizabethan community, especially responsibility.

The Emirati Excellence Scholarship reflects our commitment to supporting the UAE National Agenda and to nurturing the next generation of Emirati leaders.

This scholarship celebrates Emirati students who embody the values of ambition, responsibility, and service, and who show a strong connection to the culture, heritage, and aspirations of the UAE.

Successful applicants will typically demonstrate strong academic ability alongside leadership qualities, initiative, and a willingness to contribute to the life of the school and the wider community.

Through the academic curriculum, the QE Futures programme, and opportunities within the QE Flourish programme, Emirati scholars will be encouraged to develop the knowledge, skills, and character needed to contribute to the continued success and development of the UAE and to act as role models within the QE community, celebrating Emirati culture and heritage while engaging fully in the academic and co-curricular life of the school.
